Welcome to Coastal Confidential, a living website/newsletter that will be updated as new information emerges!

Why did I launch this totally unauthorized, non-official website in late 2016?  Because better communication makes better communities…and a lack of information can lead to serious problems no respectable community wants.

So, the goal here is to share all kinds of information—community news so local it’s not even in the Beaches Leader.  A quick and easy resource to find upcoming events, calendars, and our community rules and other documents.  Reports of board meetings and actions you otherwise never hear about.  And eye-opening articles about what affects our community that might not otherwise be disclosed.

To ensure that there’s no confusion about the intended mission of Coastal Confidential:

Here’s what it is intended to be:

• Simply put, Coastal Confidential is a channel of communication to disclose information for the purpose of better informing and connecting the community, making it an even better place to live.

• What you’ll see here on the site will publicize our many community goals and accomplishments…and sometimes shine light on matters that might otherwise get lost in the shuffle or even be swept under the rug.

• This site is also a place where community members can participate and have some fun, too. Tip off your neighbors to a great babysitter you know and trust. A new restaurant in town.  Pass along a joke you heard or a cartoon that will make us laugh.  Share a photo or two of some great place in the world you’ve just been.

And here’s what it is not:

• Coastal Confidential is decidedly not here to undermine nor embarrass those who control or manage our association, nor anyone else. We all sincerely appreciate the hours of volunteer time and honest efforts our directors and officers contribute to making our community better…and we value the staff committed to making this a wonderful place to live.

• This is also not a tool for retribution by anyone. The facts you see here will be presented as a basis for you to draw your own conclusions.  Comments are encouraged…but uncivil and libelous postings will be removed immediately and the author blocked after one warning.  

Informative, fun, and thought-provoking at the same time…and always open to your feedback to make it and our community even better.
